Summary

PickBack (package com.pickback.recover) is designed to work on your device. We do not operate a backend that receives your scan results, photos, videos, documents, or contact contents. Scanning, preview, and recovery stay on the device unless you choose to share or save files with another app or folder.

Contact

• Product: PickBack

• Email: [email protected]

• Website: https://pickbackfile.com

Information processed on your device

Depending on features you use, PickBack may store locally:

• File metadata from scans (names, paths or content URIs, sizes, MIME types, tags, quality heuristics, optional MD5 hashes)

• Scan history and recovery counts

• Favorites

• Contacts metadata you choose to export when using Contacts backup

• App preferences (language, privacy acceptance, reminders, banners)

• Temporary share-cache copies when exporting/sharing

This information stays in app storage / a local database. It is not uploaded by PickBack to our servers.

Permissions

• Photos / videos / audio (or legacy storage): MediaStore and granted folders

• All files access (optional): broader folders/caches you authorize

• Contacts (optional): on-device vCard backup/export

• Notifications (optional): weekly reminder

• Boot completed: restore reminder schedule if enabled

Sharing and export

When you tap Share or Save, Android’s system UI runs under your control. Files leave the app only because you chose a destination.

Analytics, ads, accounts

No account required. The current release does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs.

Children

Not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your region).

Retention and deletion

Local data remains until you clear app data, uninstall, or use in-app clear/delete actions (for example clearing share cache).

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change; material changes will appear in the app and on this page.
